About the designer
Kate Sheridan was born in 1975 in Cambridge. She grew up on a farm in the countryside and this is where her passion for nature that still inspires her work grew from.
Spring/Summer 2004 saw 'Sheridan + Minns' streamlined into ‘Kate Sheridan’ with extremely positive results. Since that debut, 'Kate Sheridan' the label has matured and developed into Kate's instantly recognisable brand of offbeat, poppy and unique bags and accessories. Her twice-yearly collections continue to gain interest from fashion press and buyers alike.
Comissioned work includes exclusive fabrics for Urban outfitters, a exclusive print for the National Gallery based on Pisanello’s painting ‘The Vision of St Eustace’ …. Which was applied not only to handbags but also to a range of tea towels, mugs, notebooks and mirrors!
She was approached by England's best-loved and brightest fashion retailer Topshop to create her own diffusion line which she did for a successful period.
The 'Kate Sheridan' brand continues to go from strength to strength in terms of sales and solidifying its identity and profile and is now available from stockists the world over. The product range has expanded to offer leather jewellery which is all handmade in the London studio and waxed cotton Outerwear. And a growing range of Italian leather UK manufactured high end purses and bags.

About the designer I was born and raised in Cheltenham and graduated from London College Of Fashion in 2009. Soon after I had 3 bags selected to be sold on asos.com as part of their LTD100 Collection. The bags sold in seconds. I have been featured in Look Magazine for my Rococo Collection and was labelled the next Patrick Cox by Grazia. I was asked to design and make a handbag for the Hoi An Orphanage Foundation, which was auctioned off to raise money. In 2010 I collaborated with the photographer Philip Townsend to create a collection of bags to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Carnaby Street, London. Since graduating I have been working on my collection of Gladbags and building my name within the industry. I currently have 12 stockists, and the ambition to find more. As my ideas develop, so do my bags and business. I aim to bring luxury handbags at affordable prices to all the fashion savvy women out there. I have a strong appreciation for colour and simplicity and this is what makes my bags so popular and wearable. I am very excited about London Fashion Weekend and for that the future holds.
